AMBIS Governing Council
AMBIS has a nine-member Governing Council, with three elected each year at its annual February meeting. The Council members are elected to three-year staggered terms and meet regularly to manage the affairs of the society.
Most of AMBIS’ modest annual budget is spent to publish the newsletters, brochures, and forms for members, purchase books for distribution to members, and pay telephone and voice mail expenses. AMBIS has no employees, operating entirely with volunteer help recruited from its more than 5000 members in the Austin area.
